WSDOT: I-5 Noise Wall Video
Watch Seattle residents celebrate a quieter neighborhood.
Seattle’s Green Lake and Licton Springs neighborhoods have experienced increasingly higher levels of traffic noise coming from the Interstate-5 since it was constructed more than 40 years ago. WSDOT designed and constructed three noise reduction walls on the west side of I-5 between Fifth Avenue N.E. and N.E. 92nd Street to improve the quality of life in the affected Seattle neighborhoods.
