In this, the first installment on Transportation TV's View from the Administration channel, we feature Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez. Mendez shares his personal thoughts about being selected by President Barack Obama to serve in his current position. He also talks about his personal journey from his humble beginnings to his rise as Director of the Arizona  Department of Transportation and President of AASHTO. Administrator Mendez also gives his perspective on critical transportation issues like increasing the federal user fee on gasoline and shaping the next multi-year highway and transit authorization bill.
